Installing the Custom ROM

Step 1: Enable Developer Options and USB Debugging

  2. Tap on Build Number seven times until a popup appears.
  3. Go back to settings and look for Developer Options. Toggle the switch next to it to enable it.
  4. Now go to Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging and toggle the switch next to it to enable it.

Step 2: Boot into Recovery Mode

Recovery mode is used to install custom ROMs, so we need to boot into it first.

  1. Power off your device
  2. Press and hold Volume Down + Power Button until you see the recovery menu.
  3. Use volume up/down to navigate through the menu and select “reboot system now” (or any other option that allows us to install a new ROM).

  1. Using your file manager, navigate to the custom ROM zip file.
